2010 Football Season Video Highlights


West Ranch 37, Hart 21

West Ranch made the CIF football playoffs for the first time in school history with a 37-21 win over Hart in the Foothill League season finale at College of the Canyons.

West Ranch quarterback Connor Eichten threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He played with a bandage on his chin after having to get stitches during the game against Saugus last week. He cut his chin open and had to leave the game in the first quarter against Saugus.

West Ranch receiver Josh Guzman caught five passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.

West Ranch receiver Rawston Redick caught six passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

West Ranch running back Andres Gutierrez rushed for 135 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Hart receiver Kevin King caught eight passes for 155 yards and a touchdown.

Hart running back Dylan Edwards scored two rushing touchdowns.


Valencia 52, Canyon 31 10/22/10

Valencia running back Steven Manfro scored four touchdowns and rushed for 193 yards in his team’s 52-31 win over Canyon at Canyon High School.

Canyon quarterback Jonathan Jerozal threw three touchdown passes and teammate Drew Wolitarsky caught seven passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.

Valencia (6-1) improved to 2-0 in Foothill League play. Canyon (6-1) lost its first game of the season and dropped to 1-1 in the Foothill League standings.


Saugus 28, Knight 14 9/16/10


Valencia 45, Palmdale 7 9/24/10

Valencia quarterback Alex Bishop threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns in his team’s 45-7 win over Palmdale at Valencia HIgh School.

Bishop threw two touchdown passes to receiver Max Rodriguez. He threw a 57-yard touchdown sccreen pass to running back Steven Manfro.

Manfro had a huge game for Valencia. He scored four touchdowns, including a 92-yard kickoff return to open the game.


Valencia vs. Notre Dame 9/10/10



The Hart High football team opens against El Camino Real. The two teams met in the 2009 season opener, with El Camino Real winning 33-28.

Hart will play a challenging non-league schedule which includes games against Palmdale, Birmingham and Arroyo, before jumping into Foothill League play.


The Valencia High football team opens against Notre Dame from Sherman Oaks. Valencia won the Foothill League championship and advanced to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Northern Division playoffs last year.

Valencia will face Loyola, Palmdale and Birmingham before starting play in the Foothill League
