KHTS AM-1220 is Santa Clarita’s only local radio station. The Santa Clarita Valley is in Northern Los Angeles County, (part of LA Metro), covering the communities of Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic and Aqua Dulce. It is also home to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor. Our signal also travels through the Antelope Valley, through the Cities of Palmdale and Lancaster.

Santa Clarita’s mountainous geography blocks off most of the Los Angeles radio signals. Since the Santa Clarita Valley also has the second largest white-collar industrial park in Southern California, the majority of Santa Clarita residents, live, work and play in our community.

KHTS AM-1220 super serves our market by featuring a mixture of local news, traffic and weather in morning and afternoon drive, along with CNN National News and a mixture of mainstream Adult Contemporary music featuring artists like Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey and Elton John. It’s the perfect target audience, Adults 25-64.

KHTS AM-1220 also covers High School sports, and during the mid-days and evenings features a mixture of specialty local talk shows (Coffee With The Mayor, Health & Beauty, Financial, etc.), along with our Adult Contemporary music.

The KHTS Kiosk at the entrance of the Westfield Valencia Town Center is our satellite studio, broadcasting throughout the day at the Santa Clarita Valley’s most heavily trafficked location.

We are also the local radio outlet for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Kings along with Santa Clarita High and College of the Canyons Football and Basketball games.

The Santa Clarita Valley is one of the fastest growing, upscale communities in the United States. Although part of Los Angeles County, Santa Clarita is not just a bedroom community, it is headquarters to many of the world’s largest and most prestigious corporations, from high tech aerospace and biotech, to leaders in the entertainment and travel industries.

Santa Clarita is an area of promise and growth. It’s home to Six Flag’s Magic Mountain, Cal Arts, College of the Canyons, and Master’s College. The film industry has been using Santa Clarita as its home since the days of Tom Mix and William S. Hart. Gene Autry’s Melody Ranch is still an active set, as is the Disney Ranch. Television classics from Lassie to the current hit, CSI use Santa Clarita as their base.

Santa Clarita means upscale families and growth. The Valley’s current population is over 278,000, with a current Average Household Income of $75,159.

$1,289,000,000.00 and growing

It’s a community with a solid economy, filled with young families in new homes. They have the spending power and the need and desire to buy what they want and to provide for their families.

You can help your clients by reaching this upscale, motivated and very targeted community by advertising on the only radio station providing local news, traffic, sports and lifestyle information.
