Connie Worden-Roberts Print E-mail

President of the SCV Chamber of Commerce in 2000, Worden-Roberts is a 30 year resident, who has a strong commitment to community service.  She was a Co-Chair of the City Formation Committee, and twice elected to the Hart High School District Board of Trustees.  She was a City Planning Commissioner and formerly was President of the Valencia Industrial Association.  She continues to serve as:  Chairman of the Transportation Committee, Co-Chair of the Transportation Alliance, a Member of the State Hazardous Waste Committee and Vice President of the Boys and Girls Club of SCV.

 

For providing leadership and resolution on many community issues, she received the award as the Woman of the Year from the California Legislature in 1988 and again in 1998, and previously received this designation from the SCV Chamber of Commerce.

 

She developed the Transportation Management Assn., promoting alternatives to freeway congestion and lessening air pollution.  In 1993 she was awarded a grant to start a Telecommunication Center which is providing some local companies an opportunity to avoid long commutes.

 

Connie Worden-Roberts is widowed, the mother of one son, a daughter-in-law and grandmother to grandson, John Jake.
