The 75th annual Diamond Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival will return this year from August 16 through August 25.

Their mission is to serve as a well managed, safe, multi-purpose, year-round facility which meets the diverse educational and entertainment needs of the residents and families of the Antelope Valley. The A.V. Fair Association strives to be innovative in growth and planning while keeping the public’s investment safe and preserving the agricultural heritage.

The nightly Fair events include an excellent concert series including Darius Rucker and George Thorogood & the Destroyers. The Rally KIA Arena portion of the fair will include the Figure 8 race, a Fireworks show, Monster Trucks and the Demolition Derby.

Tickets to all of these events are given for free on a first come first served basis, except the Monster Truck Show and Demolition Derby which cost an additional fee.

The A.V. Fair will also feature two carnival areas, the Thrill Zone for older “kids” and Kid Zone for the younger attendees.

Awesome food, art, vendors and other free exhibits will be featured throughout the Fair grounds. Other forms of entertainment include a petting zoo, pig races, Mutton Bustin’, Hypnotist shows and more will be located on the grounds as well.

Some of the traditional events involve the community in a one of a kind manner, including the Junior Livestock auction that features animals raised by members of 4-H, Future Farmers of America, Junior Grange, and the independent youth exhibitors.

An RV park is also offered by the AV Fair, which will feature wide-open spaces, affordable prices, and water, electricity, and sewage.

The Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival are committed to maintaining a clean, family-oriented and culturally diverse environment. They also seek to promote education and agriculture as a means to preserve our heritage. Using a high quality and stable staff, the A.V.
