Guich is currently being held at the Sheriff’s Station following an alleged spousal assault around 10 p.m. Friday night, according to officials.
“[Guich’s] wife notified (deputies) of the alleged assault from outside her mobile home,” said Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “She said her husband had hit her and had a weapon that he was threatening to use if deputies became involved.”
The alleged domestic assault occurred at the 2900 block of Bouquet Canyon Road and required intervention from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau, a group trained in weapons and tactics.
“After obtaining a warrant, the SEB team used robotic equipment to send two tear gas canisters into the house,” Hershey said. “Guich made his way onto the roof through a window and came down around 6 a.m. after being told to surrender by the SEB team.”
Guich was believed to be drunk at the time of the incident, according to officials.
The SEB team transferred Guich into the possession of deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and he was then moved to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
