In the story by Beverly Cleary, a dog named Ribsy gets lost in a parking lot.

As you read you will find that he goes on many adventures to try to find that he goes on many adventures to try to find his way back home.  While Riby encounters many adventures to try to get home his owner, Henry, is desperately trying to find Ribsy too.  Henry is busy placing adds in the newspaper to locate his lost companion.  Both characters want the same thing for Ribsy to come back home.  I would recommend this book to anyone who has a beloved dog at home.

I thought this was an excellent book because the author really makes the character of Ribsy, come to life.  He reminds of my own dog and how I would feel if he got lost.

Young readers will enjoy this because it is both heart warming and funny.
