COC Celebrates Library Expansion

College of the Canyons’ library expansion includes much more than new books.

The college officially welcomed its newest addition to the Valencia campus during a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday.

The library expansion also includes and a 41,000-square-foot leaning center which serves as a tutoring facility for student.

COC began planning for the expansion more than 10 years ago.

It’s funded in part by Measure M, a $160 million bond measure approved by voters in 2006.
