The Lyons Avenue and Dockweiler Drive road extension project is designed to improve traffic conditions and allow easier access to the Placerita and Newhall areas.
The construction will also result in wider traffic lanes, a new bike lane east of Railroad Avenue and a half-mile extension of Lyons Avenue, according to a city of Santa Clarita news release.
Newhall and Placerita Canyon community members are encouraged by city staff to attend this meeting to ensure understanding about the extension project.
