Just over 25 years ago, The National Crime Prevention Council and the Ad Council introduced McGruff to the country and began encouraging Americans to “Take a Bite Out of Crime!”

McGruff has been successfully fighting crime ever since.  He has provided all of us with the information and motivation needed for them to take an active role in developing safer, stronger and more caring communities.
The latest outdoor PSA encourages adults to know their neighbors, and encourages them to visit www.ncpc.org to learn simple ways to make themselves and their communities safer.

Recently, Santa Clarita Sheriff Captain Anthony LaBerge called on Santa Clarita residents to take steps that can help to prevent crime and also talked about what the Sheriffs’ department is doing to help reduce crime in Santa Clarita.
