Earth Arbor Day

On Saturday, April 13th, the City of Santa Clarita hosted Earth Arbor Day celebrations at Central Part.  The festival was presented by the Santa Clarita Valley Family of Water Suppliers.  The theme of the event was reduce, reuse, and recycle.  There was live music, a rock wall, a jumpie, and arts and crafts.  There were various demonstartions geared towards water conservation and recycling.  Over 1,000 trees were given away.  People could collect their own free bags of mulch.  Arts and crafts were geared for the kids; they could make bird houses, bird feeders, paper bag hats, and flower pots.
