On today’s show Cary and Bob Have on special guest Mindy who is a primary counselor at Action Academy which is a sober school that works with 7th grade thru 12th graders. Cary begins to talk about some statistics in the United States about teens and some of the issues with drugs and alcohol. Cary and bob talk about how kids get addicted to drugs or alcohol in the first place and it all starts with using one time. Only two things can come from using drugs and alcohol for your first time. Thats becoming addicted or not liking it at all and completely staying away for it. Toby then shares with us his story as he began his addiction with weed and alcohol. He tells us about the first time he used and the influence that his friends had on him as he was introduced to the drugs. He lets us know the struggle it was with his parents and with his high school after being confronted about using. He then lets us know how much of an impact that Action Academy has had on his life and how much of a difference he has noticed in his life.
