Families in Action: Monday August 4, 2014
The latest edition of the Action Family Counseling radio program: Families in Action, hosts Cary Quashen and Bob Sharits made it a point to discuss how the current seasonal changes are affecting our kids – especially in the Santa Clarita Valley. It is summer time, and while we are heading closer and closer to returning back to school, this is often when some kids will try to squeeze as much “fun” out of their remaining free time as possible. This invites a lot of idle time and deadly opportunities they can unfortunately get involved with. They first began their talk covering some of the minor, common, and basic situations most parents encounter, but fail to tackle successfully. The social media usage. Most teens and below are addicted to facebook, instagram, snapchat, the list goes on and on. Chris Jones is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and CEO of Dynamic Interventions. Cary and Bob decided to bring Chris Jones on because he has direct communication with struggling and successful teens working towards leadership.
