Families in Action: March 24, 2014
Welcome To Families In Action on your Hometown Station, AM 1220 KHTS. As always this show is brought to you by the Action Family Zone.
It is a national fact that the average teenager spends between 2 and 10 minutes with their parents a day, and after that they are back in their rooms with their friends. However teachers are with our children 8 hours a day, and it is time to recognize them for their efforts and the impact they have on our children.
For the last 30 years, Teacher Tribute has been honoring teachers from around the valley.
In Studio we have two teachers to be honored by Teacher Tribute, Ron Ippolito and Holly Rogers. Ron has been working in the Hart District for over 18 years and currently at West Ranch High school.
Holly comes from a family full of teachers. Originally teaching in Anaheim, she now teaches at Oak Hills Elementary. These children are sponges, if you can get them, you can make them learn, you can get them to a place where they want to learn. I want these children to grown. I have a student this year that cannot get enough, he is eager to learn. He wants an illustration for every book, he wants one more science explanation. Kids like this make me want to be more creative in my career.
