Topics: Today on Friday Matinee, Paul interviews two very unique musicians from our local California Institute for the Arts: Hannah Dexter and Brian Foreman. These two students are apart of the World Music program at Cal Arts and even brought some of their examples of their work. Some of the music they play for example, is West African. Hannah and Brian attest that playing these songs, from a different culture brings together the international community. The students also want to remind everyone to come to the Wild Beast where students, faculty, alumni and the community gather together to listen to live World Music from Java, Bali, Africa – all over, the list goes on.
Next, Paul sits down with Murray Siegel, a man behind several motion pictures, TV shows, commercials, and even working as Stage Manager on American Idol. Murray, has stated that due to his work with other shows, he has to be on several different sets in different states, countries and even continents. On top of these epic roles in the entertainment industry, Murray also worked as a teacher in his past, and currently even writes speeches and editorials for politicians. He has even had to write things for Woman Magazine and even for Politicians in Austria.
