Hometown Recipes: Basic Homemade Barbeque Sauce

Erin WalgamuthHappy Memorial Day to everyone! I thought I’d share my basic BBQ sauce with you. Not only is it easy to make, the sauce can be changed-up to fit your mood with some simple additions. If you want to spice it up add some chipotle chilies and cinnamon. I love it with molasses or orange honey. Feel free to use any kind of balsamic vinegar instead of the apple cider vinegar. You can also add powdered ginger and soy sauce to give it an Asian flavor. I hope you enjoy this recipe and by all means tweak it and make it your own!
