Intern- Video Editing

KHTS has an immediate opening for a intern video editor!

A Video Editor is responsible for assisting with all video content within the video portion of the site. You will operate video equipment such as cameras, microphones, tripods, and lighting equipment as well as programs like Final Cut, Live Type, Motion, Photoshop, and Compressor. The position will require editing skills, and a through knowledge of Photoshop, Motion and Live Type. In addition, you may be asked to develop graphics for our website.

This is an unpaid internship position. Applicants can receive college credit for this position- check with your academic institution for details.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

-High School Diploma

-Advanced knowledge of Final Cut Pro/2 editing platform essential including: Final Cut Studio, Compressor, Motion, and Soundtrack Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects.

- Must be familiar with multiple tape and file formats, as well as FTP protocols.

-Problem-solving skills and skill in prioritizing tasks

-Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

-Strong communication skills, written and verbal

 

It’s a bonus if you also have:

-Previous broadcasting/radio experience

-Previous news/copywriting experience

-Previous production experience (recording/editing spots)
