Letters From Wolfie, by Kendall Kulman

Good Morning KHTS listeners.

Hi, my name is Kendall Kulman and I am a 4th grader in Mrs. Dodson’s class at Valencia Valley Elementary School in the Newhall School District.

I’ll be reviewing Letters From Wolfie written by Pattie Sherlock.  It was written in 2004 and is 240 pages long.

Letters From Wolfie is about a 13 year old boy named Mark, who’s older brother is at war in Vietnam.  Mark thinks his German shepherd malamute mix, Wolfie, could help great soldiers like his brother.

When Mark sent Wolfie he didn’t know that the army would keep Wolfie.  This is a great story about love and unselfishness.

I liked the book because like many other people, I have a loyal canine friend and because I always like to read action books.

I think readers would like this book because many people like dogs and most people love to read about action.

Thanks for listening.  Bye!
