Since Keyes Lexus of Valencia set its roots here in Santa Clarita, the auto dealership has shown a great interest in not only providing our Santa Clarita with the best luxury automobiles available, but giving back to the community in the form of donations and volunteer work. Here are just a few of the various local charities, foundations, and events Keyes Lexus of Valencia has supported throughout the years:

Keyes Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues concert series

Entering its 11th year, the Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues concert series features regional, national, and international jazz and blues recording artists in a lovely street party setting. It offers interactive activities for both children and adults, with a “children’s area” set aside for young ones and a variety of food, drinks, beer, and wine available for those of age. Owner and producer of the concert series Barbara Myler has said, “We’re grateful for all of our sponsors, especially Lexus, for their support during these trying economic times. Without them we wouldn’t be able to bring back one of the most highly anticipated summer concert series.” Throughout the Jazz and Blue concert series’ 11 years over 30 different charitable organizations have benefitted from the program. Admission is free and continues on all summer. For more information call (661) 290-2911.

SCV Boys & Girls Club Foundation

Formed in 2002, the Boys & Girls Club Foundation of Santa Clarita has sought to ensure financial stability and expansion of the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita, which has been apart of the Santa Clarita Valley for over 40 years. More than 3,500 children and young adults between the ages of 7 and 17 are engaged in programs through the SCV Boys & Girls club that provide information on education and career exploration, the arts, sports, recreation and fitness, character and leadership development, and healthy life choices. Not only is Keyes Lexus of Valencia’s own general manager Bill McClendon one of the Directors for the foundation, but Keyes Lexus of Valencia is also hosting its 6th annual gold tournament in conjunction with the foundation: the Keyes Lexus Club Golf Classic golf tournament. Through the first 5 years of its existence, the tournament has raised over $500,000 to fund after school programs for those 3,500 children of the Santa Clarita Boys & Girls Club.

Carousel Ranch

Established in July of 1997, Carousel Ranch is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing developmental therapeutic and recreational programs for disabled and disadvantaged children through horses. The goals and benefits are different for every child, depending on their individual needs. The movement of the horse causes an inherent response from the child, relaxing muscles that are tight, increasing tone in muscles that are weak, building balance, coordination and control, which in turn enables children to use hands and arms, sit, stand and walk.

Multiple Sclerosis Society

The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now-to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn’t.

The Southern California Chapter works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for 101,500 people affected by MS in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Inyo, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Fresno, Kings, Madera and Tulare counties.

Keyes Lexus of Valencia, along with other sponsors helped raise $90,000 for this cause at their most recent annual Golf Tournament.

Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce

The Mission Statement for the SCV Chamber of Commerce is to “aggressively represent and promote business in the Santa Clarita Valley through leadership, advocacy and member services.

Bill McClendon serves as a member of the Board of Directors.  He also sits on the Chamber Political Action Committee and has been the Business Expo Tent Sponsor.

Michael Hoefflin Foundation

Established in 1994 in memory of a young boy named Michael Hoefflin who died of brain cancer, the Michael Hoefflin Foundation has a simple wish: to put an end to children’s cancer in all forms. The foundation has maintained three primary goals for more than a decade:

  • Finding better treatments and cures through medical research;
  • Promoting awareness of childhood cancer;
  • Assisting local children and their families though outreach programs with love expressed in both emotional and financial support.

Simply put, the Michael Hoefflin Foundation strives to provide hope, help, and healing to families struggling with the cancer of a child.
