Life Leadership with Alex Urbina – December 16, 2013
On today’s show, Alex and Wendy sit down and talk about young leaders. What it takes to be a young leader and how in today’s world, it is difficult to find a young leader but everyone could be.
When we are young we create self limiting beliefs and it holds us back, Alex said. I think when we look at others we compare ourselves to others and it brings up walls and negative energy.
At SCVi, as facilitators or teachers we have to get out of the way and let the kids learn, a facilitator said.
You are just throwing out little nuggets of knowledge and letting the kids grasp the information on their own, Alex said.
That is correct, a facilitator said. We are their to guide them through the path not walk it for them. These kids know so much, and we have to learn from each other.
It sounds bad, but we appreciate when the kids fail. We can take that failure and reflect upon it and learn what went wrong and take the good out of it.
