Life Leadership with Alex Urbina – January 6, 2014
On Today’s show, Alex and Wendy talk about the peaks and valleys of life. The high and lows of life.
I have never met someone that has not experience both a high and low in life, Wendy said. I often take both highs and lows as a learning perspective and do not dwell on it for too long or have it really bother me.
The peaks and valleys were explained to me as breathing. You breath in and out. That what life is up and down. The life experience is that up and down, Alex said.
Why is it that we are so resistant to the valleys in our life, Wendy said.
I think we get spoiled to a degree with the happy times in life, Alex said. You can’t be grateful in life without experience the lows.
How do you get out of the valley?
The way I get out of the valley, I first have to acknowledge that I am in a valley and then choose my life.
After all it is my life and I choose how I live it. I can choose to celebrate in the valley and then before you know it I am out.
If I am in a constant place of saying, “I don’t want to be here,” i am digging a bigger whole and it will be that much harder to get out if at all.
