Body Image Amongst Teens…
On today’s show Alex and Wendy discussed the topic of body image amongst teens and how they see themselves.
Today’s guest are from SCVi Charter school, we have a 16 year old, 15 year old, and 12 year old.
I want to start off with a question to our guests? – Alex said.
“Do you know how beautiful you are?,” Alex said.
I do, I think that I am the guests replied. What does beauty mean to you, Wendy asked.
I think beauty is more about what is on the inside and what morals you have that really develops you as a person, one of the learners said.
What I noticed is that all of you answered the question and decided to include what you think beauty is on the inside and Alex just asked you are you beautiful.
Do you all have a good sense of self-esteem, Wendy asked.
I work really hard to keep up a good appearance, but mostly I work on my character and how I come off to people with my personality.
Confidence building is great at your age and it is not always easy to build self-esteem.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would that one thing be?
Probably my nose, I never really liked my appearance, you see the girls on TV and theirs are all nice and mine isn’t like that.
What if you chose that your nose was/is just fine you think you would still want to change your nose.
Probably not.
