Local Business Owners Invited To Free Workshop About Doing Business With The City

The City of Santa Clarita invites local business representatives to a FREE vendor outreach workshop on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to learn more about doing business with the City.  The event will take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

Business representatives will learn everything they need to know about competing for City business, including details about the City’s purchasing policy and shop local preference, proper completion of bids, quotes and proposals, and details about receiving and properly responding to electronic bids through the City’s Planetbids service.  Attendees will also be provided with a chance to ask questions and learn about other potential business opportunities in the public sector within the community.

The City currently works with thousands of local, regional and national companies when doing business, but is continuously looking for ways to increase awareness at the local level.  Bid information is posted on the City’s website and is also sent directly to registered vendors through the City’s Planetbids service.

For more information on the March 6 workshop or to RSVP, please contact Jennifer Killian at (661) 286-4193 or by email at jkillian@santa-clarita.com.
