On Saturday, March 23rd, The Michael Hoefflin Foundation hosted a 5K run and walk. The event was held at College of the Canyons. The event was a celebration of the lives of children and their families who have been affected by childhood cancer. Teams and individuals participated to help raise awareness to support the children and their families who are victims of childhood cancers. All the money raised from the event goes help to children with cancer and their families. One in every 330 children in the United States develops cancer by the age of 19. The Michael Hoefflin Foundation works to build public awareness of childhood cancers in Santa Clarita and surrounding areas. The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for children’s cancer is a public nonprofit that provides financial and emotional support to children and their families in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas.
