Today on Mind Your Own Business with Doug and Ed, the gang first discussed how being social, networking and engaging others can help your business – however, being unbalanced, and neglecting to back up workflow with the amount of effort put into networking can be a disservice. Ed uses the airplane analogy of putting on your gas mask first, before helping other passengers. For example, if you are not paying your bills on time, putting off your mortgage while engaging networking meetings and mixers, well, that is a detrimental situation. Evaluate what is and is not working, and adjust accordingly.

They next brought on Dr. Dan, a Chiropractor from Pure Wellness Center located here in Santa Clarita. Dr. Dan gave tips on how and why one should go to a Chiropractor. For example, most people forget that they do not have to visit a Chiropractor when they experience pain, but rather before problems occur.

Julio Lemos was their next guest, and they discussed all the in’s and out’s of buying and selling insurance. Julio has been in the insurance business since 1997, and currently owns Julio Lemos Insurance located in Santa Clarita. Doug tackled Julio with hard questions such as competing with Geico, Progressive and all the other countless insurance companies that spend millions of dollars on advertising. Julio was smart as a tack, and hit Doug with the hard truth: life is competitive if you want to be Number 1. Working hard and pursuing his goals has enabled Julio with the unique ability to serve his clients in the cheapest most reasonable way. Julio’s services range from renters, auto including ATV’s, cars, motorcycles and more.
