Peachland Kids Aim To Stump Assemblyman Smyth

Another installment of Stump The Politician Takes Off

Tuesday, December 18th, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth ventured to the KHTS Resource Station in the Westfield Town Center to take questions from students at his old school; Peachland Elementary.

The program is an ongoing series presented by the Southern California Gas Company, where elementary school children get to meet politicians who represent Santa Clarita, and ask them the toughest questions they can think of.

Smyth attended Peachland when he was school-aged, and he also took the time to reminisce on his time, and show the kids first hand how memorable those years are.

Smyth came out of the show with a fairly good reputation after answering most of the questions thrown at him. He was close in his guess that the State Capitol Building was 300 feet tall, as it stands roughly 220 feet tall. He also earned points for his honesty, recalling his visits to then Principal Tanner’s office and his non-interest in being a politician as a child.
