Relay For Life held a walk at Castaic lake. The Relay gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. The walkers can form teams and together the teams fight to raise money and awareness. Each team is asked to have a representative on the path at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, these relays last 24 hours. All walkers were given a break to remember loved ones during the Luminara, a candle lighting, or due to high winds glowsticks, used to represent cancer and those touched by it. Other events were also held on the side for those not currently walking that also gave opportunities to raise more money.
More than one band entertained and helped motivate the walkers.
