Residents And Businesses Can Have All Their Tax Questions Answered

 

The City of Santa Clarita Public Library invites residents and businesses to a series of Tax Talks, happening Wednesday, March 13 through Thursday, March 28, 2013 at all three branches, including the Canyon Country, Newhall and Valencia Library.    

In partnership with H&R Block, the workshops will help residents learn about the new tax laws and the benefits they can provide to community members and businesses.

The first class kicks off at the Valencia Library at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, for those interested in learning more about new California tax laws.  The Old Town Newhall Library will host a small business tax class at 1:00 p.m. onThursday, March 28. The Canyon Country Library will host a tax benefits class geared for students on Tuesday, March 14, 2013at 1:00 p.m. as well as a tax issues class for retired taxpayers on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

Kyle Jellings grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley and graduated from Canyon High School in 2004. Following his high school career he spent three years at College of the Canyons where he graduated with his Associate's Degree. Kyle then traveled to Utah where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Communication: Journalism emphasis from Utah Valley University. While in Utah, Kyle had the opportunity to do many different internships which included a Production Assistant at ESPN 700 and a Media Relations Assistant with the 2009 MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake. Kyle was married to his wife Paola in 2008 and they had their first child, Calvin, in August of 2010. When Kyle is not at KHTS he enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in sports in any way.
