On March 23rd, over 70 Santa Clarita community leaders hopped on a bus and headed to Sacramento, as part of the 4th annual Road Trip!

Sponsored by AT&T, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth's office and KHTS AM-1220, the trip was spent meeting with state legislators, policy experts and fighting for issues important to all of us.

Here's was the schedule for Monday:

• Group met with Assembly Member Jared Huffman, Chair, Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife

• Bill Cooper with the Castaic Lake Water Agency spoke about the current water crisis.

• A personal VIP tour of the State Library with Gary Kurutz, Principal State Librarian

• Dinner at Firehouse Restaurant – Keynote Speaker was Mac
  Taylor, Legislative Analyst for the state
