The Gazette Radio Hour - Friday, January 10, 2014
The latest addition of the Santa Clarita Valley Gazette Radio Hour began with another switcheroo from the Gazette Guys. Instead of Doug Sutton giving his weekly rant, John Rogers had to let loose on the airwaves and vent a problem he had on his mind. To start, John, who is a seasoned lawyer, decided he had to talk about the implications of Colorado’s new legal marijuana environment. What will it mean for the future of American citizens? How will businesses react? And arguable most importantly, what will happen to the nation is this becomes profitable, and creates a domestic chain reaction? Well, surprisingly, Doug Sutton had a few positive comments on John’s existential questions. For example, Doug asked why Peyton Manning bought a number of pizza franchises in the Colorado area. When John could not answer, Doug loudly exclaimed how it was a business opportunity that the smart NFL player did not let pass him by. In the end, both men are concerned about any possible moral decay and future of American citizens physical and mental health.
After their rocky ranting, Doug Sutton and John Rogers brought KHTS News Director Perry Smith into the studio for a informational and thought provoking update on all things going on in the Santa Clarita Valley. For example, Perry Smith talked about the new candidates running for Santa Clarita City Council. In fact, there will be twelve candidates voters will have to sift through and decide on, and the news director (who has been to all the city council meetings) gave his input on what exactly will be required, and who brings what to the table. Perry even listed off the hot topics voters are concerned with in the Santa Clarita Valley.
