On the newest Gazette Radio Hour, the radio digest version of the Santa Clarita Gazette and Free Classifieds – hosts Doug Sutton and John Rogers wanted to start off with a very important (and very local) recent event that John had attended. The Gazette guys were referring to the one and only Canyon Country Advisory Council Meeting, which invited the community to come and ask questions to the men and women running for various positions in the community. John was fortunate to be there, asking questions and spent the first segment explaining how important it is for people to be active in their community, and take a part in the democratic process. After the first segment, the Gazette girls, Barbara and Michelle (AKA Miss Classifieds and Miss Entertainment respectively) spent their segment talking about all the most spectacular and exciting deals in the Santa Clarita Valley, and the best places to shop, dine, and party in our community. After Miss Classifieds and Miss Entertainment got off the line, John Rogers and Doug Sutton invited Chris Burke talent agent for world famous bands and artists like Pat Benatar, Kenny Loggins and so many more. Chris talked about what the Eagles have been up to, and how Santa Clarita Valley residents can get a chance to see them live, including the latest news with all things ABBA tribute related and so much more. After Chris, Jim Backer from JSB Development came on to talk about the new developments and giant projects emerging in the Valley. Jim Backer has been the man behind the scenes for some of the most expensive and massive projects in Santa Clarita.
