The plight of the human species is an interesting one. The rise and fall of homo sapiens as perceived from the eyes of Doug Sutton is a tumultuous ride through the adversarial roller coaster known as life. While Doug Sutton, owner of the Santa Clarita Gazette and Free Classifieds does not explicitly identify himself as a philosopher and/or religious icon. He does however, have a very strong opinions on what/when/why/where Americans need to be praying or having a religious relationship with the bible. One example specifically, is what Doug considers the downfall of mankind. He firmly believes that American citizens have been on a demoralizing path of disinformation and manipulation by the darkside, otherwise known as “The Left”. Doug Sutton has intangible and theoretical evidence that America has been forcibly led down a path of stupidity specifically by the Government removing prayer and other religious doctrine from the public school system. In fact, Doug Sutton will go as far as to say, “The down trodden and knee buried will only carry their hearts stronger through the night” meaning, this religious repression from the leftist government will only reinforce their beliefs and strengthen their passion for the Christ. As furious as Doug got during his rant, John Rogers was equally as calm and collected. Without John, Doug probably would have burst another blood vessel. A common health problem he faces when getting worked up into a dramatic rant. Alas, John’s Vulcan-esque logic was not enough to change Doug’s mind, but was effective enough to calm him down for the next segment and give their guests like, Steve Petzold and Ben Oakley a good time.
