On Saturday, January 26th, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints hosted a family and technology fair. The event was free and open to the community. The day consisted of 5 sessions and each session had separate classes that people could attend based on their different interests. Some of the classes included: a merit badge workshop for boy scouts, how to start searching for family records, scrapbooking, Korean family history, indexing, and how to self publish your family history. Over 200 people came to the event. The event took place at 24443 McBean Pkwy. The church has a center open to the public where people can come in and begin research and use popular Internet databases for free.
