The six-time Tony nominee, whose credits include music and/or lyrics for "Godspell" (1973), "Pippin" (1972), and "Wicked" (2003) on Broadway and an Academy Award for music for the animated features "Pocahontas" (1995) and "The Prince of Egypt" (1998), also appeared in the second half of the show.
