Doug Sutton had a particularly tumultuous experience for his so called “rant”. This time, the Gazette Radio Hour rant was not just angry, bitter and filled with passionate fire – it was a fire fueled by a local antagonist of Doug Sutton. Doug began his first segment, quoting someone who wrote in to the Santa Clarita Valley Gazette and Free Classifieds with a very staunch and deliberately offensive attack. This young man or woman (Doug surprisingly had enough class to not identify the angry individual) went on written tirade of fanatical proportions. Frankly, John Rogers, the Gazette Radio Hour Co-Host, and impromptu voice of reason – noticed some similarities between this disgruntled Gazette reader and the ranty Doug himself. This individual described Doug Sutton as “a Republican with more money than intelligence” and so many more colorful insults that he could not quote on live radio. However, what really irked Doug’s nerves, was how this person assumed Doug would be too afraid, too yellowbellied and embarrassed to actually publish this letter in his publication. However, Doug Sutton is a strong man with a lot of pride, who won’t let an anonymous reader dictate how he runs his paper – and published this very vindictive letter. After the painful experience of confronting an angry letter on air, John Rogers decided to bring on their first guest, Abby Carurthers, a certified hypnotherapist to talk about the experience of being hypnotized, what hypnotism can do for the human mind and the myths and common misconceptions as well. After Abby shared her knowledge of human consciousness, Doug Sutton brought Ed Bernstein, from the 25 Score Club to talk about the recent political climate in the local Santa Clarita Valley. In addition to Ed, The Gazette Radio Hour spoke to TimBen Boydston, Santa Clarita City Councilman.
