            Hey welcome back to another hour of sanity right here on The Real Side, not the right side, not the wrong side, but the real side.  I am your host Joe Messina.  Thank you so much for the time you spend with me.  I know there are about thirty thousand other shows you could be tuning into but you chose to spend it with me.

Today’s guest, economist Harry Veryser says there’s an alternative to perpetual government intervention and economic booms/busts. He believes the Austrian School of economics reveals the crucial conditions for a free, prosperous, and humane society.

Harry Veryser is an Instructor of Economics and teaches Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, History of Economic Thought, Free Enterprise and Radical Criticism, and International Economics. Veryser comes to the University from Walsh College, where he worked as a professor as Economics and Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance. He also was the Chairman of the Board and owner of an automotive supply company for many years.
             In October of 2003, Professor Veryser was one of ten professors in the United States selected to receive the Will Herberg Award for outstanding faculty service from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. His articles have appeared in The Detroit News, The Intercollegiate Review and The University Bookman. He is the author of Our Economic Crisis: Sources and Solutions.
               Professor Veryser received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Economics and two Master of Arts degrees in Economics and Religious Studies from the University of Detroit.
