The Real Side with Joe Messina –
May 2, 2013

Joe Messina opened the show talking about May Day and all of the protests that happened around the country, a few of which got a bit out of control. Listen to the whole show to hear all of the stories Joe talked about.

Joe also spoke with Stacy Swimp a spokesman for the Project 21 black leadership network, Stacy M. Swimp is the president of the Frederick Douglass Society — a nonpartisan public policy and education institution that promotes free market solutions and advocates for labor freedom and school choice.

Stacy also serves as the chairman and national liaison for the Diversity Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Greater Michigan. Helping fulfill ABC’s commitment to being the leader of diversity in the construction industry, Stacy plays a key role in helping to develop the resources and tools to assist ABC members and chapters in working with an increasingly diverse workforce, client base and subcontractor/supplier base.

Stacy is the host of “Contagious Transformation,” a weekly radio show focused on conservative political commentary. He is a 2009 graduate of the Great Lakes Bay Region African-American Leadership Training Institute and a 2011 Graduate of the Henry Marsh Institute of Public Policy. His commentaries have appeared in the Washington Times, Miami Times, Orlando Sun, Philadelphia Tribune and Buffalo Criterion.

According to Stacy Swimp, if we, like Frederick Douglass, make up our mind to go as a man and not a slave, the only permanent boundaries around us are those we place ourselves. It doesn’t matter what obstacles we are born into or mistakes we’ve made.
