Here is brief summary of what Thursday Matinee host Paul Strickland focuses his attention and conversation on during this afternoons show:

Thursday Matinee host Paul Strickland focuses his show on the arts, ranging from beautiful pieces of artwork to the engaging sounds of local musicians. Today, Paul talks about how art is visible wherever you go. You can walk down a street and admire the art that most people simply will not recognize. This could be the street light hovering above your street, or the bicycle set against the worn-out fence. Art is everywhere, and it needs to be recognized. Paul admits that some of the nicest pieces of art he has seen have come from local Santa Clarita artists. Art is a way of expression and emotion, and it provides a much needed social escape for many. Paul provides you with the information on local art activities and events, from the PerformingArtsCenter located at College of the Canyons in Valencia, to events highlighting the works of local artists. Paul admires the new art commission, consisting of 5 artists in Santa Clarita, who work with the officials of this valley to help bring about new art programs and pieces of work to be enhance this wonderful and creative community.
