Hour 1 – On todays show Arif has on James Rickards who is an author of Currency Wars and they speak on the book and also talk about Jim’s next book. James Rickards tells us why Currency Wars are one of the most destructive and feared outcomes in international economics. At best, they offer the sorry spectacle of countries’ stealing growth from their trading partners. At worst, they degenerate into sequential bouts of inflation, recession, retaliation, and sometimes actual violence. Left unchecked, the next currency war could lead to a crisis worse than the panic of 2008. According to Rickards, the next crash is overdue. Recent headlines about the Eurozone crisis, the bailouts for Greece, riots caused by austerity measures as well as the debasement of the dollar.

About James Rickards

James Rickards is an American lawyer, economist, and investment banker with 35 years of experience working in capital markets on Wall Street. He is a writer and is a regular commentator on finance.

Rickards is the author of the national bestseller, Currency Wars: The Making of the Next Global Crisis, (Penguin, 2011), and the forthcoming, The Death of Money: The Coming Collapse of the International Monetary System (Penguin, 2014). He is a portfolio manager at West Shore Group and a partner in Tangent Capital Partners, a merchant bank based in New York. He is also a counselor and investment advisor and has held senior positions at Citibank, Long-Term Capital Management and Caxton Associates. In 1998, he was the principal negotiator of the rescue of LTCM sponsored by the Federal Reserve.

Hour 2 – On the second hour Arif talks to us about Investing your money and what are some smart moves to make when ready to invest your money. Arif also talks about pulling your money out of your 401k early and why it may not be a good idea for you. Arif gives us detail on how to get money out of your 401k and what steps to take one you have the money.
