Hour 1 – On the first hour of today’s show Arif has on detective Lou Vince and they discuss some of the current issues going on in the Los Angeles County. Here is Lou Vinces take on improving or jails “Our jail system is outdated and it is an unavoidable fact that we will have to make some tough decisions regarding an overcrowding problem. As your next Sheriff, I will be willing to challenge the process and seek innovative solutions. We need alternative sentencing options, especially for first-time, non-violent offenders, which allow inmates to work and contribute to the community, while still being held fully accountable for their crimes. I will find solutions that deter future crime, allowing us to no longer use the County Jail System as a revolving door for lower-level offenders.” Arif also has on Todd Rodgers who also is running for Sherif and here is his take on jails “As your Los Angeles County Sheriff, I will build our county jail system from one that led to federal indictments for abusive practices to a national model for the constitutional and humane incarceration of prisoners.”

Hour 2 – On the second hour of today’s show arif speaks with Jim McDonnell and Paul Tanaka. Paul Tanaka speaks with us about Crime Reduction and Safer Communities “The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department should focus on reducing crime and make all our communities safer by utilizing intelligent analysis and appropriate deployment of LASD resources.”
