Valencia Chevron – July 17, 2008

On Thursday July 17 2008, KHTS had the opportunity to broadcast live from the Valencia Chevron on the Old Road, just north of Rye Canyon, for a Grand Re-Opening Celebration. The station, closed from mid-April until the beginning of July for a renovation, is now open, with added amenities for customers. The renovation made the station compliant with environmental standards, expanded the store, and also provided additional islands for customers to fuel. During the event, the owners held a raffle for a free cruise, television, and other prizes. The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce also attended to perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially announcing the location as open for business once again! Thanks to the managing owners of the location, Fleet Card Fuels, for putting on a fun event.
