Hometown Sports Report 2-27-08

The Foothill League Coaches have voted and here are the results for the girl’s all-league teams. Congratulations to Hart senior Megan Ford and Saugus senior Lauren Labat, the co-Players of the Year. The All-League First Team players are; Gabrielle Conn and Danielle Mofsowitz from Saugus, Kelli Lewis from Hart, West Ranch’s Laci Jacobsen, Valencia’s Chelsea Hastigan, and the lone underclassman, Brooke Lemar from Canyon, a sophomore. The second team includes; Roselyn Angilau from Hart, Starla Wright and Lindsey Hill from Valencia, Linday Knox and Angelica Sahagun from Canyon, and Saugus’s Breann Wilson. Golden Valley senior Meredith Mathis was an Honorable Mention.

Congratulations to Hart senior Joel Peluffo, the 2008 Foothill League boy’s soccer Player of the Year. The First Team includes David Alegria, Nathan Bevel, Joseph Mackey and Shane Wilson from Saugus, Jared Gilbert, Johnny MacArthur and Ian Loveland from Hart, Andres Bueno and Ahmad Yacoub from Golden Valley, Canyon’s Billy King, Valencia’s Greg Drake and Navid Mahabadi from West Ranch.

Congratulations to every player awarded in both boy’s soccer and girl’s basketball this year.

The Los Angeles Kings travel to Edmonton, live on KHTS tomorrow night at 5:30pm.
