The nationally ranked number one Valencia Vikings boy’s volleyball team rebounded from a loss in the final match of the Tournament of Champions over the weekend.  The Vikings disposed of Hart by at least six points in each of the three-game sweep.  West Ranch swept Golden Valley, and Canyon beat Saugus in four games.

 

Foothill League leading Hart High stayed undefeated in league softball play with a 9-1 win over West Ranch.  Pitcher Destiny Rodino struck out 13 in the Indians win.  Valencia cruised to a 10-1 win over Canyon, and Saugus beat Golden Valley 8-2.

 

Valencia High’s boy’s tennis team was officially crowned Foothill League Champion yesterday with a 12-6 win over Canyon.  Saugus shut out Golden Valley with an 18-0 win.

 

The first round of the Newhall Land Cup Foothill League Finals golf tournament featured a strong team performance from West Ranch, while Hart Senior Johnny MacArthur cruised to a medalist three-under 69 at TPC Valencia.  The Wildcats moved to 5-0 in league by winning the first round.

 

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to Cincinnati, 8-1 last night.  The Dodgers return home to face the hottest team in baseball, division rival Arizona, tonight.  You can catch all of the action live on KHTS at 6:30pm.
