And then there were two.  The Hart Indians defeated Saugus 6-0 yesterday, ending the Centurions slim shot at a Foothill League Softball Championship and setting up the game of the year on Thursday.  The Indians, who are undefeated in league play, will host the seven-time defending league champion Valencia Vikings, 6-1 in league, in a game that will most likely determine this year’s champion.  Hart defeated Valencia 1-0 in their first meeting, on a Heather Stiglitch home run in the seventh-inning.  The Vikings easily beat West Ranch, 10-0 in five innings.  Canyon beat Golden Valley 4-2 to remain in the playoff hunt.  The Cowboys trail Saugus by one game.

College of the Canyons baseball suffered a rare loss yesterday, loosing 14-12 to Glendale.

Santa Clarita Christian remained in first place in Heritage League Baseball with a 8-7 win over Milken.  The Cardinals girl’s softball team lost to Providence 6-4.

The Los Angeles Dodgers used a Jeff Kent ninth-inning single to beat Florida, 7-6.  The Dodgers continue their road trip in Florida tonight, live on KHTS at 3:40pm.
