Johnny MacArthur has done it again.  The three sport superstar from Hart High shot a career best 66 at yesterday’s CIF Divisional golf tournament in Ojai, sending the super senior to the CIF Individual Finals in Camarillo on Monday.  West Ranch also represented the Foothill League well, bringing home second place in the team divisional and advancing to the CIF Team Finals in Whittier on Thursday.

 

The Western State Conference baseball playoff bracket is out, and Western State South Conference Champion College of the Canyons has earned the eighth seed.  The Cougars will take on ninth seeded Cypress on Friday.

 

The Los Angeles Lakers have a press confrance scheduled today, where it is presumed Kobe Bryant will officially be named league MVP.  The Lakers hold a 1-0 series lead over Utah heading into tomorrow nights matchup.

 

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Mets, 5-1, behind rookie Blake DeWitt’s first career home run.  Game two of the series can be heard tonight, live on KHTS at 6:30pm.
