The CIF Southern Section Pre-Season poll was released yesterday and our Saugus Girls Cross Country team is the number 1 ranked, Division 1 team. As you’ll recall, our Saugus girls are the defending CIF and State cross country champions.

Here’s a score you don’t hear everyday.  The Master’s College Men’s soccer team beat La Sierra University 11 to nothing.  The Mustangs had goals from 8 different players as they extended their record to 2-0-1.

And here’s a reminder, KHTS will bring you exciting high school football this Friday as Hart will face the very tough Moorpark Musketeers.  The pre-game show starts at 7pm and Barry McKeever will have the play-by-play at 7:30, on AM-1220 KHTS.

In Baseball, the Angels defeated the Oakland A’s 4 to 3 to extend their divisional lead to 7 and a half games in front of the Seattle Mariners.

The Dodgers defeated the Cubs 6 to 2 last night in Chicago, as Brad Penny earned his 15th win. And with Arizona’s defeat of San Diego, which created a tie for first place, the Dodgers are only 3 games out of first and 3 games out of the wild card.  The Dodgers continue their series at Wrigley Field tonight with the first pitch scheduled for 5:05.  You can hear the pre-game show this afternoon at 4:30, on your hometown station, AM-1220 KHTS.
