On February 21, 2008, the Assistance League of Santa Clarita was featured on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight, which is hosted by Janice Murray.
The Non-Profit Spotlight airs every Monday and Friday at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS.
The Assistance League has been helping families in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1989. This nonprofit service organization of volunteers is committed to identifying and serving the needs of the Santa Clarita Valley through philanthropic projects developed and administered by its members. Through programs such as Operation School Bell, Kids on the Block and the Teddy Bear Patrol, the league acts as a friend to men, women and children in need of care, guidance and assistance, emotionally, materially and physically.
Sunday, April 20, 2008, the Assistance League's Footsteps Run/Walk takes place at Newhall Park. Since 1991, this fundraiser has helped put new shoes on school children. Close to 500 runners and walkers participate in this event, which benefits Operation School Bell. Young children are also able to participate in helping the community through the 1K Kids Fun Run. This family-styled event is a wonderful opportunity to be of service to the community.
We want to thank Dora Zavala and Gloria Regan for stopping by our studios to get the word out about the Assistance League of Santa Clarita.
