On June 27, 2008, TimBen Boydston—Executive and Artistic Director of the Canyon Theatre Guild stopped by the KHTS Community Resource Station for the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.

For 35 years, the CTG has been presenting quality live theatre in the Santa Clarita Valley. From its humble beginnings on Sierra Highway to their new home in Old Town Newhall on Main Street, the CTG has consistently presented top-notch productions for audiences of all ages and has been voted “Best Live Theatre” in Santa Clarita nine times.

Each season, the CTG offers ten full-scale productions – giving theatre goers many opportunities to experience live community theatre at ticket prices that wont break the bank. Shows like Beauty And The Beast, Man of La Mancha, Grease, To Kill A Mocking Bird and more, there is something for everyone at the CTG. Have the acting bug? Auditions are open to anyone and the CTG has a number of workshops for children too.
