On September 13, 2007 Terri Hill and Sandy Hilbarger from the Providence Blood Donor Center spent the morning with us at the KHTS Community Resource Station. Sandy and Terri were featured on the KHTS Non-Profit Show with Janice Murray – sponsored by Valencia Acura.

Providence Blood Donor Center exists to meet the transfusion needs of patients and to serve the community as part of the Providence Health & Services Southern California Region Since blood is a vital resource that requires constant replenishment, the Blood Donor Center depends on the active participation of community members to meet the needs of patients.

Providence maintains a fully staffed 29- foot bloodmobile that can accommodate up to 40 donors at locations such as schools and local event sites such as their recent blood drive – which took place at the Oldies and Goodies Car Show at Saugus Speedway on September 8, 2007.
