Additionally, summer is stone fruit season and juicy, tree-ripened cherries, nectarines, strawberries, peaches and plums are available in abundance, along with vine-ripened vegetables, fresh corn on the cob, salad mixes, potted plants and fresh-cut flowers. The City encourages families and individuals to stay and enjoy the “Artist of the Week” performances over dinner. The market offers an assortment of homemade tamales, tacos, and sopas to enjoy on a warm evening.
“As the summer heats up, the City encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the Farmers’ Market,” says Jenny Aurit, Project Technician for the City. “There is not only great fresh food and homemade wares, but the performances provide great entertainment for the whole family.”
