Friday, May 5^th at 5:10 PM, stop by the KHTS Community Resource station and meet National Junior Featherweight Champion Fighter Juan Ruiz. A Newhall native and Hart graduate, Ruiz has been training in Santa Clarita since 1997 when he joined the city’s Community Boxing Center and learned to box. He has always been a successful boxer and is now recognized nationally as one of the top boxers in his class. Last November, Juan Ruiz became the National Junior Featherweight champion and is ranked in the top ten nationally for his weight division. Juan Ruiz will be the featured 'Main Event' on Telemundo, May 12^th from Las Vegas. If he wins this fight he will move on to a championship Fight.
